At a special event held at the Blue Lagoon Hotel in Paphos,
attended by about 500 Jews, the Minister of Tourism of Cyprus, Mr. Subs Pardius, declared the city of Paphos the European kosher Tourist Capital
In his remarks, the Minister congratulated Yoni Kahana, CEO of the Kahana Group and the Lagoon Hotels chain, who is leading the training tourism revolution in Paphos.
Paphos is a relatively small city on the map but large in training tourism.
For 3 years now, the Blue Lagoon Resort, which is considered the largest kosher spa hotel in Europe, has been operating in the city center by the sea.
Next week, another 5-star hotel will open in the hotel chain and will operate in the center of the city’s promenade called Gold Lagoon,
as well as a Chabad house with a kosher restaurant, falafel shop and pizza, and another hotel is being built all year.
